Shoot for the Staria, help Kiah get a new vehicle

Hi my Name is Janine and I would love that you can help someone who is very special to me, my niece Kiah.

Kiah is an extraordinary young woman who as a baby was diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy HIE, this led to cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

Kiah feeds using a tube and is an aac communicator. Kiah has an amazing Mum and brother and a number of wonderful support workers who assist with every day activities.

There are some hot new wheels on the way (electric wheelchair) which will be amazing for Kiah.

However, even with all the challenges she faces, Kiah is truly an inspiration to all who know and meet her. This year she has begun a Bachelor of Science, and boy isn’t she super excited.

So, this brings me to the why we need your help

Kiah’s current vehicle is 20 years old and when her new wheelchair arrives will barely fit into her existing vehicle. One breakdown of this vehicle will mean there is absolutely no way Kiah can be transported to medical appointments, coffee dates with friends or support workers and on campus uni . Everyday life activities which we all take for granted.

Kiah has saved a deposit but need your help to finish the deal. Kiah has also done some fundraising. A brand-new purpose fitted out Staria is on Kiah’s wish list so let’s help that wish come true.

If you have a little more to spare, a home with modifications suited for Kiah including a proper bathroom (something she doesn’t have at the moment) is also on Kiah’s wish list.
