Shooshie is currently in a vet hospital's ICU, in a critical condition. Initial investigation found an enlarged, abnormal heart and fluid in his chest cavity.
He is in an oxygen tent, as he was really struggling to breathe. He is likely to remain there until he is stable enough for further investigation and possible surgery.
This GoFundMe has been set up to help cover some of his vet fees, which have been estimated at between £5,000 and £6,000. This includes his current emergency treatment at a veterinary clinic that is able to deal with his condition and offer overnight care.

You may know about Shooshie already. He is a feral cat who lived as a lonely, wild boy for years until he found a human who he thought he might be able to trust (and get free chicken off).
His human, ‘Staff of Shooshie’, has looked after him since he first started turning up in her garden a few years ago, and he now has his own indoor area, so he can come and go as he pleases. It has got to the stage where he very rarely leaves his indoor area and garden, as he obviously considers it 'home'.
Shooshie is loved so much. We just want him to get the treatment he needs and come back home soon, to enjoy lots and lots more chicken.
