Shokran Moroccan Restaurant
Spende geschützt
Hello everyone,
My name is Khalid Kamal, I am the owner of Shokran Moroccan Restaurant. I grew up in Morocco where family is one of the most important element of every day’s life. Most interactions in the house take place at dinner when everybody gather around a great meal. When I opened Shokran 12 years ago in Chicago, my only motivation was to carry out that tradition and share it with people in my community, My customers have become part of my family ever since. My dream wouldn’t have become a reality if it wasn’t for the team who put in big efforts and a great deal of care in preparing the food and serving it to our customers. Unfortunately Shokran will be temporarily closed until guidance is provided by local and state health authorities regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. Shokran has 7 employees that are now struggling to figure out how they are going to survive until we are able to reopen for business. The funds that I’m hoping to gather will be solely for Shokran’s employees and will be distributed equally between them for their use towards cost of living such as rent, food, utilities and medical needs. I also would like to express my gratitude to people who already offered to help and encouraged me to create this page and I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for their care and support.
