Across the world, suffering does not look the same on every continent, and it does not receive the same attention. While the world has rightly rallied around crises like Palestine and Gaza, the humanitarian tragedy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been largely overlooked in mainstream media.
Today, over millions in the Congo face extreme poverty, displacement, and food insecurity, many as a result of decades of conflict, resource exploitation, and economic instability. Families go days without meals, children walk barefoot in harsh conditions, and basic essentials that we often take for granted are scarce.
SHOETHICS: Hope Across Borders is a student-led humanitarian movement focused on equipping Congolese families with dignity, mobility, and nourishment through community-driven aid.
We are currently partnering with students and organizers from:
- Howard University
- North Carolina Central University (NCCU)
- Morehouse College
Together, we are collecting and shipping:
Shoes
Canned food & nutrition essentials
Clothing
