"Shoes That Grow" For Burundi Kids
You can make a difference by donating today to Burundi Orphan Relief, Inc. (BOR).
There are many soil-borne diseases that children catch in Africa--including tetanus, sepsis, salmonella--when they wear no shoes.
Your donation will help provide "Shoes That Grow" for the orphaned and at-risk children of Burundi, East Africa, one of the poorest countries in the world. These shoes have been designed to "grow" to 5 sizes and to last for years. One pair costs only $20 and, through GoFundMe, we hope to send 70 pairs before Christmas. We need one month's lead time to get the shoes to Burundi in time so we are asking for your help.
Check out the organization's website, Burundi Orphan Relief . BOR was founded in 2005 to help children in Burundi who have been orphaned by a 12-year civil war and by HIV/AIDS. Children are placed in families and aided to attend school with uniforms and school fees as well as assimilation skills. As they grow, BOR aids these children in becoming responsible, self-sustaining citizens of their own country. Soil-borne diseases can cause much suffering and even death, interfering tremendously with these goals.
Please donate right now to this life-saving project: "The Shoes That Grow"!
