What was your New Year's Resolution? Can you even remember now that we are this far into the year already? More importantly, how often have you fulfilled your New Year's Resolution–once...twice...never? Instead of basing your year's resolution on yourself, what if you based it on someone else?
Every year, in our county alone, hundreds of children and their families must suffer through the cold of the winter months without the proper protection from the weather. Something as simple as a pair of shoes ceases to exist in these individuals' lives. However, your time and donation can help them get what is necessary to stay warm.
In an effort to help relieve some of these individuals and families, the Jefferson Air Force JROTC Unit hosts a county wide fundraiser to raise money for the aforementioned individuals. Every single penny of the money collected goes towards purchasing and distributing shoes, coats, jackets, scarfs, gloves, etc. to those who need it desperately.
Last year, Jefferson AFJROTC blew away their previous goal of $11,000, and collectively raised over $23,000. Such a tremendous amount could not have been gathered without the help of the generous citizens of Jefferson County. Every year, the Jefferson AFJROTC Unit strives to surpass the previous year's goal, but it can't do it without you!
On this campaign alone in 2015, community members near and far raised $1000, all of which went contributed to the fund. Realizing the benefits of online donating, our unit has decided to raise the online goal to $3,000, and we need any and all support you can give.
Just a $5.00 donation could change, or even save, the life of a local individual. Of course, any donation amount is accepted. Thank you in advance for viewing this campaign. We can change the world...one step at a time!
*Donations will be accepted throughout the year, but the cut-off date for 2016 is November 29.
*We, unfortunately, cannot accept donations of physical clothing; only monetary donations can be accepted.
