Seizure Dog for Emma
Donation protected
Hi, our names are Mandy and Megan and we are trying to raise money to get a seizure dog for a sweet girl named Emma.
Emma was born with hydrocephalus and later developed Craniosynostosis during her first few months of life. She was also diagnosed with chromosome 6q deletion and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, an incurable form of epilepsy. She’s been through more in her brief time here than most people will experience in a lifetime.
Service dogs perform specific tasks to help people with disabilities. Since Emma has epilepsy, a service dog could break a fall when she has a seizure, it could get between Emma and anything that may cause them harm, it could also activate an emergency notification device or alert her parents.
Emma and her family need help now!!
Emma has had multiple life-threatening seizures which is caused her to be in the hospital for weeks at a time. In order to hopefully avoid the hospital trips, Emma would greatly benefit from a seizure dog. Emma requires 24- hour care and we truly think a service dog would be a perfect fit for her.
Please visit Emma's website for more info on her amazing story!
