Gay Garabedian Memorial Benches

Hi, I am Dylan Lee, a Life Scout with BSA Troop 155 in Ventura, CA, I am working toward achieving my Eagle Scout rank, the highest and most prestigious award in all of Scouting. In order to complete this rank I must complete a service project for my community while using the knowledge and skills that I have learned throughout my years of Scouting to provide leadership and guidance to my peers.
The project I have chosen is to create a memorial for Gay Garabedian at Ventura High School by redesigning an outdoor area outside to her former classroom. The project will replace decaying benches and add garden planters and a memorial plaque in the place where she dedicated so many years to teaching. My father worked closely with Ms. Garabedian at VHS. He shared that when a student was having a tough day, she would often use the benches outside her classroom to counsel and comfort them. Currently, the area is in disrepair and in great need of rehabilitation. Thank you for any support you can give to aid this project.
