Grandmas Final Trip

Donation protected
It was a cold fall morning someplace in Wisconsin. The wind had an eerie howl to it that made the hairs on your neck raise and gave you a bone chilling feel. The time has come for a woman to step forward. While hanging on to her youthful glow, it is apparent she has spent some years on this earth. She grabs the shovel with a firm grip and thrusts it in to a loose pile of dirt. Looking slightly past the pile, you notice a small rock which represents something so much more than just that. She puts the dirt in to the small hole, proceeds to lay down the shovel and turns to walk in to the wind. Prayers are racing through her mind and she finds comfort in the Holy trinity. She glances back one last time as she walks off in to the frigid air, under her breath she says “goodbye son, I love you”. Sadly this isn’t her first loss. This scenario seems to repeat itself for her more often than not. This woman had to bury her first husband, two of her three sisters, her son, her mother and father. She has been through a lot. Now she has gotten some news of her own that her days with us will be limited. This isn’t meant to be a sad story; in fact it should be a positive one. We have been blessed to find out in advance of her passing so we can fully maximize her time left on Earth. This woman I am speaking about Shirley, my grandma. She came up from nothing and still doesn’t have much to her name along with my family, which is why I am asking for your help. I am her Grandson and somebody who cares about how much she impacts our lives. We would like to take her on one last trip as a family. It has always been her dream to have a family vacation and unfortunately we have never had the means to make that happen. The funds donated will be strictly allocated to her and her husband traveling to bring the family all together one time before she goes—anything extra will be put towards hospital & funeral expenses. At the end of our lives people tend to regret not the things they did, but the things that they didn't do. I would love the opportunity to be able to take this off of my Grandmas list as her time winds down and really have a celebration of everything she created(which includes me) before time expires. I know that I speak for everybody in my family when I say that we are thankful to have some brief time left to spend with her and look forward to making the most of it.  Any donation helps. Thank you and God Bless.
