Shirley Tomko, of Pitman N.J., our beloved sister, daughter, Aunt, and dear friend to all, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer.
Shirley is a vibrant young woman and a true lover of life. She is the epitome of enjoying life to its fullest. She loves travelling, biking, camping, hiking, the Ren Faire, and is always seeking out new and exciting adventures.
She has always been an advocate for those who were less fortunate, animals, and children.
At this time, we as a family are drawn to be Shirley’s advocates, as she cannot fight this battle alone. Her burden is heavy, and it is a long journey for us all.
In order to offset some of the medical expenses, we are holding a benefit social in her honor on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019, 7 pm to 11 pm, at the Magnolia Community Center. There will be food, soda, wine, beer, music and dancing, as well as a Cash Silent (Chinese) Auction, 50/50s, and T-Shirts available to support Shirley. Bring cash for these extra events.
Tickets for the event are available through all family members or feel free to use our general email address: [email redacted] in order to arrange for tickets. Benefit social price is $35 per person. Cash only for benefit tickets. There is a limit of 300 tickets, so please order your tickets before they sell out! Do not depend on tickets being available at the door. In addition, a 50/50 ticket can be purchased for $10 each with your benefit ticket. One of the family members will get back to you asap.
