Shirley Joslin Davis

The Joslin family is reaching out today with an awfully heavy heart about our beloved Shirley Jaye Joslin Davis. For those of you who have not had the opportunity to meet Shirley, let us give you a snapshot of her life:

Shirley was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. She is the daughter of Glenn and Elsie Joslin and the sister of Bill Davis, Marji Davis Williams, Glenn Joslin, and Eric Joslin. She is a 1983 graduate of Fort Myers High School and went on to mother her incredibly strong daughter Steffanee Davis. Steffanee is currently an active member of the United States Air Force. She has always been Shirley’s entire world. Those would describe Shirley as compassionate, diligent, resilient, generous, and mostly selfless. With her vibrant and assured personality, those surrounding her feel encouraged by her existence. Shirley is as beautiful inside as she is outside. Typing this I can hear her voice saying, “oh stop that!” If she only knew how many lives were touched just by being in her presence.

Shirley was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer in July 2022. She has been undergoing treatment ever since. Unfortunately, it has now spread throughout her entire body. She has put up a strong and fierce fight, which is not a surprise if you know Shirley. Currently, Shirley is now under Hope Hospice care. This brings us to why we are here in the first place. This page is set up to assist Shirley’s daughter Steffanee to ease the financial burden.

Our family would like to thank Crown Roofing for being supportive during this tragic time. Additionally, Jim and Lynn Lee who have been with her throughout this process. Lastly, JoAnne Fuciu who was alongside Shirley as she lived her last year to her absolute fullest. Words will never suffice how grateful we are knowing that she has been in the most gentle, warm, and sympathetic hands.
