Building Home For Artsakh Families And Students
This year has been especially difficult for my country that recently went through a war. My nation lost thousands of its sons and thousands were forced to leave their motherland becoming refugees.
By contributing to this fundraising, you will:
• help war refugees with immediate needs,
• contribute to future educational programs and
• help me complete my first professional challenge.
My name is Elen and I am a 10th-grade student at Shirakatsy Lyceum in Armenia.
My school welcomed several refugee families providing them with shelter and giving chance to their children to continue education.
The school foundation undertook the task of quickly renovating rooms and adapting them for the families so that they have access to basic living conditions. However, having limited resources, the renovation of the dormitory limited to the guest rooms.
The goal of my personal project is to modify the architectural design and renovate the shared space, where the families will have the chance to gather, work on homework, socialize, play, watch TV, celebrate holidays, etc…
In the future, when all refugees will find new homes, the area will serve its primary function of being a place where youth (local and exchange students) can meet, socialize, share, and exchange ideas.
Completion of the project will help refugees to get space with a cozy and warm family atmosphere; it will also help me to develop knowledge, skill, and competencies for my future profession, as I’ve decided to become an architect.
With my desire to help and your donations, I could not do it without guidance and counseling by following people, who will be sharing responsibility for the successful completion of the project.
Aida Khachatryan – Shirakasty School Student Supervisor
Ashot Davtyan - Shirakatsy School Construction Engineer
Arthur Baghdasaryan – Architect
Arpi Ajemian - Director of Shirakatsy Development Fund
Nare Hayrapetyan- Shirakatsy Development Fund member
Thank you
