Shipbourne Cricket Pavilion Fire

On Thursday 18th July 2019 a fire broke out at our cricket ground in the garage which is at the rear of our pavilion. Subsequently we have lost our tractor and our ability to pull the gangs to mow the outfield. We have also lost our roller, all our ground sheets and numerous other tools. The fire then spread to the back of the pavilion and we have lost the roof at the rear, the store cupboards, the shower area, the boiler room and the toilets. It also burnt through our gas pipes and electricity cables. The front door also had to be broken down to recover items from inside and so this needs replaced along with a lot of our windows as they blew out in the fire. There is also considerable smoke damage.
We are a small village cricket club based in Shipbourne near Tonbridge in Kent. We run 2 league Saturday XI's and a friendly Sunday XI.
We are now faced with a long rebuild with estimated costs of £25,000, any donations that you could make or fund raising activities you can think of would be greatly appreciated by all at our club.
2 fire crews attended the fire and we would like to thank them for their work and swift response.
If anyone would like to donate via cheque or cash then please contact Angus Willis on either his mobile or [email redacted]
Many Thanks
