On Friday, July 16th, we watched the house that the beloved Cutler family lived in for 11 years, burn up in flames.

This is the house that you’ll notice on the corner of Bond and Florida, in downtown Bend, OR. Eleven years of memories in the home. Childrens’ giggles grew into teenage laughter here. Countless women’s circles were held. Dancing ensued to the wee hours of mornings, while hard work was soon to follow.

Katie, mama of two fantastic teenagers (who were sleeping in their bedrooms), was working in the garage at the time the fire started. Goddess that she is, kept her Wits about her, grabbed her fire safe box with important documents, got herself and her children out of the house and even managed to grab the propane tank to move it away from the fire. The family rushed out of the house with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

While they do have insurance and will be reimbursed for countless objects; We all know insurance companies take a while to come through. And, they won’t be able to replace a lot of things, feelings of grief, loss, memories erased in the form of pictures, etc.

This Go-Fund me Fundraiser will help this amazing family start their new lives off with zest and glee!

Immediate funds are needed for basic items, bill payments (due to the household taking a leave of absence from work), and items that insurance won’t replace.

We have material donations coming in and the family is aware of ALL resources, Red Cross, etc.

Regarding the fire… We are patiently awaiting answers to our questions and we’re sure you have questions too. We have no information yet, on how the fire started.
