In 2020, Eoin Egan was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Since then, he's faced it with extraordinary courage, and his friends from Moore NS, Class of '95, want him and his family to know they're not walking this journey alone.

It starts with Shine a Light for Eoin, a candlelit community 5k walk on Friday 10th July 2026 at Moore United AFC. Friends, family and the wider community will gather to walk together and light up the night in his honour.

From there, momentum builds into a fundraising spinathon, culminating in September 2026. This is where we hope to make a real, pracical difference for Eoin and his family as they navigate the ongoing challenges of MND.

Every euro raised goes directly to Eoin and his family, to use in whatever way they feel will benefit them most, whether that's equipment, care, adaptions to their home or simply easing the pressures that come with a diagnosis like this.
