Shine A Light For Darryl Event Fundraiser

On Tuesday, August 31st Saratoga Black Lives Matter will be funding the Shine A Light For Darryl event and we are looking for your help to raise money for items such as:

Speaker system

T-shirts

Event signs

Flyers

Food etc..

We are looking to raise $2500. Any additional money gained from this fundraiser will be split and go directly too Darryl Mount's family and future events put on by Saratoga Black Lives Matter.

Who was Darryl Mount? Darryl Mount was a 21 year old boy who was chased by Saratoga Springs Police Department on August 31st 2013. During this chase Darryl was gravely injured and placed in a 9 month coma. During this time, it was found that Darryl's injuries were inconsistent with that of a fall from scaffolding (as this was the story told by police). His injuries were consistent with that of a severe beating. Darryl later succumbed to his injuries and passed on May 13th 2014. To this day there has never been an internal investigation or justice for Darryl Mount.
