Anyone who knows Joel, Fran, Carly and Courtney is aware that they have certainly had their share of challenges. You would also know that despite these challenges, they never complain, or quit fighting! They are truly some of the strongest and most generous fun loving people I've known!

This weekend they found themselves facing yet another significant challenge. They are back in the hospital with their youngest daughter, Courtney. Courtney is a survivor of a brain tumor and a debilitating stroke at the age of 14. She has made a LONG, but full recovery, and just started her last semester at College for Creative Studies in Detroit. She is a talented artist and a wonderful woman with a bright future ahead of her. Courtney has been admitted to the hospital this weekend with some very scary symptoms for which they are running several tests. While Fran and Joel don't have clear answers yet, it seems that the road ahead will be long. Fran and Joel are traveling back and forth from home an hour and a half away while trying to care for their oldest daughter Carly who requires twenty-four-hour care for all of her basic needs. Please consider helping them out with the expenses related to their situation. Along with respite care for Carly, they will incur large medical bills and need lodging, gas and food for an unknown length of time. Any amount helps! Thank you in advance.
