On September 21st, Shilough Hopwood, a beloved cornerstone in our community, passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Shilough touched so many people's lives through the music he created, the literature that he knew so well and the friendships that he forged. He leaves behind an incredible child, Rowan, who he loved very much and who is following in the musical footsteps of his parents.

Shilough's family is still reeling from the very recent loss of his brother and stepfather. They have chosen to have a private memorial service for him with just family and close friends. But they have given Rowan and his mother their blessing if they decided to do a public service for him. This fund will pay for the costs of this memorial. Anything that is raised beyond that will be put into a fund for Rowan's future. Rowan is a talented musician who is currently attending Charter Arts in Bethlehem. Shilough was thrilled that Rowan was exploring these opportunities that he didn't have growing up and was excited to see Rowan blossom in that environment. Rowan has plans to pursue music in his post-high school education.
