Shiloh Grace - Fighting to make it home to us.

Hi, my name is Paula Blaser and my husband is Taylor Blaser. I am a nurse and he is a veteran currently working on his degree to coach and teach. We have a beautiful 2 year old daughter and we just added another daughter to our family. Unfortunately, she was born at 24 weeks weighing 310 grams. She is in Austin at the St. David’s NICU where she will stay for quite a few months. We are not from Austin so we are figuring out a way to live day to day out of a suitcase and hotels basically until we can get into the Ronald McDonald house.

Taylor will be back and forth but mostly at home in San Angelo to work so we can keep our health insurance at least. The problem is I am no longer working d/t being post partum and spending my time with Shiloh at the hospital or with my toddler, Hannah while living in Austin for the next forseeable future. We still have to keep up with our regular bills and rent, etc. But for now we’ve also been paying to stay in hotels until the Ronald McDonald house has availability for us. I will also have to put hannah in a short term daycare in Austin so I can go visit Shiloh during the day since she is not allowed in the NICU. We also need to maintain groceries, gas and meals and our own health.

We need Shiloh so bad and we are doing everything we can to make sure she makes it. Our life is literally in a suitcase right now and we want a stable (or as stable as it can be) environment for Hannah as she stays in Austin with me. Worry about one less little thing like money would make the world of difference to us right now. We will be living in Austin while I have no income other than my husbands.
