Shilas COVID-19 relief Campaign

7 years ago my wife, Reyna, and I decided to follow our dreams and opened up a small diner at Six Corners.  We are passionate about breakfast and cooking and wanted share that passion with others.  These past 7 years have been nothing but wonderful.  With much love, we have taken care of our customers and always see that love returned. Although a couple of things changed in the neighborhood that negatively impacted our business growth, we have remained enthusiastic and continued working hard to keep our dream alive. 

Right before COVID-19 hit, we were planning on completely rehabbing our restaurant with the help of a Small Business Improvement Fund grant. We were planning on closing the business for a month or so to complete the work and then reopen with a new and inviting space. 

Unfortunately, COVID-19 severely delayed our project and is making us stay closed for much longer. Our employees did not feel comfortable working during the pandemic which is why we remained closed. 

We have now been closed for 3 months and expect to stay closed for 2 more while we wait for our project to be completed.

We have not seen any revenue these past 3 months and are now behind on our rent.

We want to continue to share our passion with the Six Corners community. We want to keep our dream alive which is why we are here to ask for help through a GoFundMe Campaign. 

With your help from the GoFundMe we could reopen Shilas and hire more employees. The funds will be used to pay rent, employees, suppliers, bills, and inventory.

Your support and understanding is vital in order for us to be able to reopen the restaurant and continue to serve the community.

Hace 7 años, mi esposa, Reyna, y yo decidimos seguir nuestros sueños y abrimos un pequeño restaurante en Six Corners. Nos apasiona el desayuno y la cocina y queríamos compartir esa pasión con los demás. Estos últimos 7 años no han sido más que maravillosos. Con mucho amor, hemos cuidado a nuestros clientes y siempre vemos que ese amor regresó. Aunque un par de cosas cambiaron en el vecindario que impactaron negativamente el crecimiento de nuestro negocio, seguimos entusiasmados y continuamos trabajando duro para mantener vivo nuestro sueño.

Justo antes del éxito de COVID-19, estábamos planeando rehabilitar completamente nuestro restaurante con la ayuda de una subvención del Fondo de Mejoramiento de Pequeñas Empresas. Estábamos planeando cerrar el negocio durante aproximadamente un mes para completar el trabajo y luego reabrirlo con un espacio nuevo y acogedor.

Desafortunadamente, COVID-19 retrasó severamente nuestro proyecto y nos está haciendo permanecer cerrados por mucho más tiempo. Nuestros empleados no se sintieron cómodos trabajando durante la pandemia, por eso nos mantuvimos cerrados.

Hemos estado cerrados por 3 meses y esperamos permanecer cerrados por 2 más mientras esperamos que se complete nuestro proyecto.

No hemos visto ningún ingreso en los últimos 3 meses y ahora estamos atrasados en nuestro alquiler.

Queremos seguir compartiendo nuestra pasión con la comunidad de Six Corners. Queremos mantener vivo nuestro sueño, por eso estamos aquí para pedir ayuda a través de una Campaña GoFundMe.
