Shifting: A Film on Healing and Hope
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Christopher Juwain, I am a writer/director and MFA graduate student from Goldsboro, North Carolina. I’m raising funds to bring my short film, Shifting, to life. Shifting is a deeply personal story about grief, healing, and rediscovering self-love. It follows Miles, a man grappling with the loss of his wife, as he takes a quiet but monumental step toward healing.
This film explores the quiet moments of transformation, the power of human connection, and the resilience it takes to move forward. Through intimate storytelling, symbolic visuals, and a rich emotional depth, Shifting will be a cinematic meditation on growth—something we all experience in our own way.
Why Your Support Matters
Creating a film requires resources—locations, equipment, cast, crew, and post-production costs—all of which help ensure that Shifting is made with the highest quality possible. Your support will directly fund:
-Production costs (locations, permits, set design)
-Post-production (editing, sound design, color grading)
-Festival submissions (so this story reaches as many people as possible)
How You Can Help
Any contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to making Shifting a reality. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network is just as powerful.
Thank you for believing in this story and in the power of independent filmmaking. I can’t wait to bring Shifting to the screen with your help.
