Support Danielle's Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
My name is Heather. As most of you know, Danielle and I co-parent Kaleb. I got permission from Danielle and Jess to start this and give some information about what's been going on - and hopefully be able to get a little help for them.

Danielle tries her best to keep family and friends updated with everything that goes on with her, but she's been having a really rough time over the past few months. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer back in 2019. Cancer picked one of the toughest - fast forward to 2024, here we are almost to the 5 year mark and she's still here fighting as hard as ever.

Over the years Danielle has undergone countless surgeries, worked through chemo, and even gone through some trial medication - all to try to beat this horrible disease. In May of this year, she ended up in the hospital for about 2 weeks. She wasn't able to keep any food/liquid down. Long story short, it turns out there was a blockage in her liver and she was going into liver failure. They put a stent in, and she eventually got to go home.

Now, here we are in June and she already ended up back in the hospital. This time she was not only unable to keep food down, she was struggling with fevers as high as 105/106, and an immense amount of pain. Fevers going up and down, pain being a constant and unable to get under control - they've done multiple scans and tests to figure out what is causing everything. Infection. That's what's causing the fever, but they can't find the infection. But worst news was - a new tumor. This tumor is living in her rib cage, growing fast, literally spreading her ribcage apart causing constant pain. Pain that could be compared to giving birth - but doesn't go away, and nothing good comes out of it in the end.

On a little bit of a positive note - she was told that she would be able to do radiation on this particular tumor to shrink it. Once this one was under control, they could tackle the tumors in her liver.

She just recently went under another procedure to help with the pain the tumor is causing her, but is now having other pain issues because of the procedure, causing radiation to be put on hold.

She has been stuck in the hospital for about a month between the two visits, and unfortunately unsure when she will be able to go home. Of course, just because someone is extremely sick, bills don't stop. She has been unable to work for quite a while now, and Jess is not working because she is currently her caregiver 100% of the time.

Any little bit helps. Even sharing helps if you aren't able to help give at this time. I appreciate you all, let's help support her while she fights to get back home.

I will try to update as much as I can, when I get any other information.
