My Path to Integrative Healing Arts

This year, I want to be more intentional about the ways we take space and integrate our collective healing process with the work we are doing.

(Quick Summary, for those who dont want to read:
Looking for :
-Child Care, CHILD CARE and more Child Care costs.

- Funds for tuition and supplies / texts for 200hr Swedish Massage program

- Support during my studies of Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy. (Tuition COVERED!)

- Additional support so I can continue to do this work and soon make it accessible to more community in need )

Many of us are powerful and our work stretches far through out the community, but we also need space to heal. Space to be held back by community and the work that gives us life.

Last year, I dove deeper into studying the process of looking into places we hold trauma in our bodies, in our work, in our hearts. To add to my previous 230hr Radiant Life Yoga Training and 200hr Intensive Sacred Brooklyn Yoga Training, I journeyed deeper into my own body and studied with Dr. Joi in the Inagrual Cohort - OM Community Coaching Training Program in Healing Justice. It was both a rigorous and affirming process to solidifying their role as “bodyworkers” for the collective body(communities, institutions, organizations) and individual bodies, through the practice of the Orange Method of Radical Self-Care focusing on interrupting toxic stress and trauma (historic and present day).

The Orange Method (OM) helps individuals and institutions to transform against the backdrop of oppression-induced trauma. It is done by creating boundaries, falling in love with self and community (perhaps for the first time), and developing better access to the healthy expression of grief and pain. TheOrange Method, combined with radical self care strategies, offers a first step in liberation and transformation, especially for those of us who have been historically left out.

Ok so that leads me here.

Awake, feeling us as a people so deeply, but needing a way to intergrate it into the work I do as an artist, leader, community member, healer.

My intuition keeps pushing me towards bodies.
I've been dreaming of ways to bring my love of music, people and community healing justice together to make some more intentional change.
Most of us in our community cant afford or have access to free or sliding scale Intergrative healing sessions, so I'm taking the power back.

A radical group have some together, mostly IPOC, queer, trans, but even more specially BLACK and NATIVE and we will be studying Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy. This starts next week and will be ongoing for 2 years.
This practice is old, but the trainings have been accessible mostly to people with Privilege. And Money. Cash money, honey. That I have none.

We are raising money for all Indigenous and Black to go FREE of charge. This is one of the most radical things I have experienced in my lifetime, because each tuition has a pricetag of $10k.

I am humbled, excited, motivated.

I will also be starting a 200hr Deep Tissue Swedish Massage Program this Feb with Jaina of Radiant Life Yoga. This year will be busy, but very soon I will be able to offer my practice to community and in collaboration with the ongoing work I have been doing and will continue to do.

Any ways you can support by sending me strength, resources, reparations, or share with anyone you know that could help would mean the world.

Thank you
