ABOUT:

My name is Viridiana Aguirre, but I mostly go by Vivi, and I am the writer and director of this short film. I am currently a senior at California State University, Long Beach, majoring in film with a specialization in postproduction. This spring semester, I was given the opportunity to pitch and direct my first-ever short film She's a What?, a light-hearted comedic short about a young adult struggling with her sexuality.

As someone who has struggled with their sexuality, my goal with this short film is to highlight how everyone's journey is different and there is no right or wrong way to be queer. It's important to stay true to yourself and your journey, and not give others the power to define who you are.

I am excited to share this with you all and am grateful for my amazing crew who are committed to bringing this story to life.

OUR GOAL:

With that being said, we need your help and support to make this short film possible. Our goal is to raise $6,000 which will help to cover food for our cast and crew, production design, props, post-production costs, and festival submissions. Filming takes place from Friday, April 7th to Sunday, April 9th. We are currently in the pre-production phase of our film and would greatly appreciate any support for this film through donations or simply by sharing this page and helping to spread the word to social media, friends, and family.
