Help Support Brittany Raley on Her Road to Recovery

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and loved one, Brittany Raley. Recently, Brittany was involved in a serious accident that changed her life in an instant.

She suffered 27 broken bones (this has been updated since the original post. We originally knew about 21 broken bones), including multiple fractures in her back, a broken hip, a broken right (dominant) arm, both of her legs are broke, many broken ribs and multiple other broken bones. She also sustained a brain bleed, a torn diaphragm, and a collapsed lung along with other severe injuries.

Brittany is currently in the hospital, facing a long and difficult journey through surgeries, recovery, and rehabilitation. Her injuries are extensive, and her dominant arm being broken will make the road back to independence and work even longer.

Brittany does have insurance, but even with coverage, the reality is that the medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and living expenses are going to be overwhelming. Between hospital stays, therapy, travel to appointments, and simply keeping up with daily life while she’s unable to work, the financial strain will be significant.

Once Brittany completes her hospital and rehab stay, she will be confined to a wheelchair and walker for many months as she continues to heal. Because of this, her home will need to be modified to accommodate her new needs — including making it safer and more accessible during her recovery. These additional expenses will add even more challenges to an already difficult situation.

If you know Brittany, you know she’s stubborn, strong-willed, and tough as nails. She’s never been one to ask for help — honestly, she’s usually the one helping everyone else.

For the past 20 years, Brittany has served her community as an EMT and paramedic, dedicating her life to helping others in their most critical moments. Now, she’s the one in need of help, and it’s our turn to give back some of the care and compassion she’s shown to so many throughout her career.

Sometimes life brings us to a place where we have to humble ourselves and accept help. We believe Brittany has reached that point, and we’re coming together to lift her up the way she’s lifted countless others.
