She’s gonna lob the bob!
That’s right eeeek, I am shaving my hair for charity this year - the lovely Donna from iaam salon is doing it for me on the 27th May 2019!
So many reasons I want to do this.. first and foremost I really want to fundraise for a wonderful charity, Trekstock, in order to help grow its services, in particular, Cancer Chicks. The money goes to events and activities which are run by Olivia Rose Smith (from Southampton) in partnership with Trekstock.
I love what Cancer Chicks stands for, knowing you have people around you who have been through something similar must be such a huge support mechanism. Which is always needed when you're not feeling your strongest.
Secondly.. (as cliché as it sounds) we shouldn’t be defined by how we look. As a female, the fear of losing your hair when you are diagnosed with any form of cancer and need to undergo treatment, is huge. Let alone the other horrendous side effects.
Trekstock are a charity dedicated to helping young people who get diagnosed with Cancer everyday, get moving again when cancer stops them in their tracks in the prime of their lives.
Any donations would be gratefully received and make a huge difference to Trekstock X Cancer Chicks to bring together those who are going through or who have been through cancer, to help them feel confident again!
