Raana has survived two life threatening heart conditions, nine tumors, and four major surgeries. She’s fought for her life more times than most people will in a lifetime, but now, she faces the biggest battle yet. A growing spinal tumor threatens her life and mobility, and the financial strain could force her to leave her home in Canada.
Your kindness can give her the chance to heal, stay in the country she loves, and face the future with hope instead of fear. No amount is too small, every dollar helps her take one more step toward survival.

Raana's Story:
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, your kindness could truly change my future.
My name is Raana, and my life has been a constant battle for my health, my dreams, and my very survival.

Born Fighting
I was born with two serious heart conditions. For the first 30 years of my life, my heart would race up to 320 beats per minute that would be triggered by something as simple as heat, food, weather, or stress. Every day felt like walking a tightrope, never knowing when the next episode would strike.
In 2004, I had my first heart surgery. As per the doctors, it failed. My heart grew weaker. But I refused to give up. I kept working full time, studying, and pushing through the fear.
In 2008, I managed to secure an appointment in Paris for a second surgery. It was costly, and just getting a visa from Iran was a challenge but that life saving ablation procedure gave me hope.
⸻
A New Beginning in Canada
That hope gave me the courage to immigrate to Canada, start a new life, and dream again. I built a career in one of the best companies in the country, worked there for almost 9 years, and believed my battles were finally behind me.

The Tumors That Changed Everything
In 2022, my life took another devastating turn. I began feeling unwell, and after countless scans and tests, doctors found 9 tumors. These were in my leg, my spine, and other delicate areas.
Since then, I’ve endured 4 major surgeries and 6 hospitalizations. I’ve lost my ability to walk for months at a time, my job, my savings, and much of my independence. Every step of recovery has been painfully slow just starting from walking just 5 minutes a day.
One surgery was so risky that doctors weren’t sure I’d survive. I needed 4 units of blood during the operation, but somehow, I pulled through. I fought my way back to walking, and to hope.
⸻
Still in the Fight
Now, despite my efforts, my most recent scans still show a large mass lesion with markedly enlarged sacral nerve roots and plexiform neurofibromas. Doctors say I may face another massive, life threatening surgery in the future. This surgery could save my life or, God forbid, leave me paralyzed.
I am still healing physically and emotionally. The financial pressure has been overwhelming. I’ve spent everything I had on medical treatments, MRIs, PET scans, physiotherapy, and healing therapies. Now, I face the heartbreaking possibility of losing my home in Canada and being forced to leave the place that gave me peace and safety and move back to Iran.

Why I’m Asking for Your Help
I’ve fought so hard for my life. I’ve survived more than I ever thought possible. But right now, I can’t do this alone. I have zero support, I cannot work and I am in debt due to all the medical bills I've racked up.
Your support will help me:
Pay urgent medical bills and ongoing treatments
Access physiotherapy to regain full mobility
Relieve financial stress so I can focus on healing
Stay in Canada, my home, while I fight to rebuild my life from nothing
⸻
I Still Believe
I believe in the kindness of strangers.
I believe the world is better when we hold each other through the dark.
✨ And I believe, even now, that love, hope, and generosity can save lives.
I’ve come this far through sheer determination and faith. Now, I need your light to help me keep going. If you can give, no matter the amount, you will be helping me take another step toward survival and hope.
From the deepest part of my heart, thank you.
Raana
