I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d need to ask for help like this, but today I’m reaching out with hope in my heart and faith in the kindness of others.

My mother, Marcia Johnson, has recently been diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease and severe mitral stenosis—a serious condition affecting the valve of her heart. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down. What we thought were just moments of fatigue and breathlessness have now become something much more frightening.

Over time, her condition has worsened. Simple daily activities have become exhausting, and she often struggles just to catch her breath. Watching someone so strong and selfless face this has been incredibly painful for our family.

Marcia is the kind of person who will go above and beyond for anyone—whether you are family, a friend, or someone she has only just met. She has always given so much of herself, never hesitating to help others in their time of need. Now, she is the one who needs that same kindness returned.

Doctors have advised that she urgently needs surgical intervention to repair or replace her heart valve. This procedure is not just important—it is life-saving.

Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery, hospital care, medications, and recovery is far beyond what we can afford on our own. We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone.

My mother is the heart of our family in every sense. She has been our strength, our comfort, and our biggest supporter through every stage of life. Now we are asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support.
