She's a FIGHTER! Help support Terrie's Recovery!
Donation protected
As most of you know my mom, Terrie Lippeatt, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. Thankfully after chemo and a double mastectomy, she has been cancer free ever since! She's a FIGHTER!!
Unfortunately, these past few months she has a new fight that we are still trying to figure out the root cause of. She started not feeling well in October with intense pain, which progressed to dangerously high blood pressure and passing out. At one point she fell and fractured her nose and orbital socket, hence her lovely black eyes in the picture of her and Audrey.
At this time she is inpatient, is bedridden, and can barely see or hear. She's on a great deal of meds to keep her comfortable while the doctors throw everything in the book at her to try and figure this out. Unfortunately, before this last ER trip which landed her inpatient at UAB, she already had four ER trips to St Vincents and three inpatient stays there in which she was completely dismissed. All of that with absolutely no answers and only increasing medical bills.
As of now (1/19) she is still inpatient at UAB while they continue to run tests. The plan is to transfer out later this week to a facility for physical therapy, pending the outcome of these tests. She would be there minimum 21 days to hopefully regain her strength, sight, and hearing assuming that is not permanently damaged.
You all were so generous and kind when she fought (and made it!) through breast cancer treatment. We kindly ask that you consider giving to help her make it through this fight as well financially. If you know her, you know she would do anything for anyone! Let's do this for her. ❤️

UPDATE 1/26/25: A spinal tap last week revealed that Mom had severe pressure which needed to be relieved immediately. She has surgery yesterday where they placed a shunt in her head to relieve the pressure. She said she was able to see and hear a little better after that. That is a HUGE step in getting her more comfortable and we pray for more answers this week.
