I am creating this GoFundMe to support my dear friend, Sherry Dahmen, and her son, Samuel, following a tragic accident that occurred early Sunday morning, September 14th. Samuel, a devoted Marine Corp veteran and talented musician working at a Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in Houston, Texas, had just finished his shift when he and his girlfriend, Bailey, were struck by a driver traveling the wrong way on Interstate 45 at an estimated speed of 100 mph.

Thanks to the vigilance of a wrecker driver who happened to be on the highway, the authorities were alerted immediately. This timely intervention enabled emergency responders to pull Samuel and Bailey from the car just minutes before it erupted into flames.

Samuel sustained severe life-changing injuries, including amputation below the left knee, shatter pelvis, spinal fractures, broken tibia and fibula, crushed ankle and foot on right, bladder repair, and injury to the ligaments in his back and neck.

While the road to recovery is expected to take up to six months, we are grateful that Samuel survived the accident.

During this period, Sherry and Samuel will face significant medical expenses and rehabilitation costs, and daily living challenges, which is why your support is so meaningful.
