Sherry never complained. That's just who she is.

The moment I met Sherry 38 years ago I knew I had found the right one. I am still happily married to the most giving, positive, kind, grateful, forgiving, humble, and compassionate human I will EVER know.

At age 47 Sherry became a Registered Nurse . . . her childhood dream. Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients are her pride. Her gentle heart makes it so natural for her to go into those patient’s world – helping them cope with their difficult [non-reality] days and nights. Sherry never misses a beat going daily to my 94 year old mother’s house . . . giving mom love and care during her transition from this world into a non-reality world.

BUT . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Sherry never dreamed a day would come when her world of [helping others] would wind down to a world of [her needing help].

Mid August 2018 found me sitting next to Sherry in a doctor’s office. She had already been through one biopsy which provided four samples from a nasty looking nail bed on her finger. The doctor came in and informed her a second (Sentinel Node) biopsy revealed cancer had traveled from her finger to her left armpit lymph nodes . . . causing her to be staged with Melanoma Stage IIIB cancer. When cancer hits the lymph nodes an individual’s prognosis can spiral downward pretty quick.

Next, another whammy, “ . . . we need to amputate part of your finger to get that area of cancer out . . . and, you will now have to undergo treatments to prevent further spreading.”

I saw but a few tears form in Sherry’s eyes, her voice quivered for about five minutes, and then . . . that gentle [Sherry smile] emerged. When the doctor left she turned to me, laid her hand on mine, and said,    “. . . I’ll be fine.”

Seriously Sherry, I thought?!?! You just found out your cancer spread and you’re giving me comfort!?  . . . Sherry never complained. That’s just who she is.

Cancer has not been the only physical challenge in Sherry’s life. Years of ongoing health matters have been a challenge.

©     At age 19, and near death, she was unable to retain food or water and plummeted to 90 pounds. Emergency exploratory/corrective surgery dealt with a mal-rotated bowel
©     A serious car accident during nursing school threatened her nursing dream
©     20+ years of significant fibromyalgia and osteoarthritic pain
©     Ovary removal
©     Ongoing unsolved digestive problems and a contracted esophagus
©     Polymyalgia Rheumatica and a scare with giant cell arteritis
©     Myasthenia gravis in her eyes
©     Two abdominal surgeries
©     Mitral valve prolapse and heart murmurs
©     Mild cataracts, Ptosis surgery, and double vision
©     Partial finger amputation due to cancer
©     And . . . dealing with the troublesome life I have dumped on her with my many years of extensive heart issues, chronic organ spasms, depression, severe mental anxiety, bi-polar like symptoms, and stressful business ventures.

Through it all . . . Sherry has never complained. That’s just who she is.

Funds Usages:

Even before Sherry’s cancer discovery I encouraged her to consider Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN for a full exam. In Oct. 2018 I contacted Mayo, completed necessary paperwork, and Sherry was accepted for a full body workup inclusive with a thorough 2nd opinion on Sherry’s cancer diagnosis and treatments.

After Mayo, there will be multiple monthly local 140 mile round trips required to a cancer treatment facility in Chicago. Additional doctor’s visits to neurologist specialists (for her eyes) and dermatology specialists (for skin cancer observations) will take their toll on time and funds.

Sherry wants to increase her intake of natural vitamins and supplements (which has dropped off from lack of funds), start organic foods, and continue with a particular greens food powder which she now takes 3 times daily. For over 40 years we have known this particular powder to be a proven reverser/curer of cancer conditions. We have been researching additional alternative cancer remedies to further compliment prescribed cancer treatments. We see great promise in these remedies. However, costs are high for reputable premium quality.

Sherry has been receiving a reflexology massage every week for her pain. Those massages make her feel so much better. Her saved funds for those treatments will deplete soon but she wants to continue.

Any steps we take using natural products and remedies brings with them a significant rise in monthly expenses.

PLEASE DONATE and share Sherry’s campaign on your social media accounts, and, send emails. We do not have, at this time, social media accounts, thus, our exposure is limited.

Thank you for your compassionate giving heart and your considerate donation. Any amount at all is received with deepest gratitude. I will be faithfully updating Sherry’s campaign.
