Sherry Allen Medical Fund

Hi, most don't know me but I am Sherry's best friend, Courtney, we have been friends for over 15 years. Over the years Sherry became more than a best friend she is family. Sherry has a heart of gold. She has been there for so many in their time of need always helping and delivering food or supplies when people are sick or even just a pick me up.

Well about 2 weeks ago, Sherry had an injury at work. This required her to have tests and scans on her back. On Wednesday August 2, Sherry had an MRI on her back, which is when the doctors discovered a large mass on her left kidney. We knew this wasn't good but prayed otherwise. Thursday August 3, Sherry met with her doctor to go over the findings from the MRI, and the doctor requested a CT Scan on Friday August 4. Sherry went Friday and by later that afternoon she was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma. Luckily it hasn't spread and is contained to the left kidney. Sherry will be having surgery to remove the kidney and cancer in the next couple of weeks. She will be out of work for at least 6 weeks on medical leave.
