Dear Friends, Family, and Strangers,
On August 22, 2025, my dear friend Sherri Carriker (Buckaloo)'s life was turned upside down after a devastating house fire started in the living room of her mom's home on County Road 136 in Callisburg, TX.
We are grateful that everyone and all animals are okay and safe. The house did not burn completely, but there is a lot of loss of all the living room items and smoke damage throughout the entire home.
The road to recovery for Sherri and her family will be long and overwhelming. Currently, Sherri is staying in her motorhome on the property to conduct cleanup and try to salvage anything that is salvageable in the home. There is an immediate need for many things such as essentials, items for cleanup, and items to get Sherri's motorhome hooked up to power and sewer so it is livable. Any donations made will go directly to helping Sherri and her family.
- Temporary housing
- Replacing food and groceries
- Medical supplies and medicines that were lost in the fire
- Four 6-volt marine batteries for the motorhome
- 5-inch PVC pipe to run septic line from motorhome to clean out
- Breaker box and pole for an RV to plug motorhome into electricity
- Large dumpster rental for debris and cleanup
- 100-gallon propane tank
- Dog food
Anything that will help Sherri and her family live a bit more comfortably while trying to rebuild. There was no insurance on the home, so any contribution, no matter how small, will help to provide the items Sherri and her family will need and will make a huge difference for them during this difficult time. Sherri is disabled and on a fixed income, so if there is anyone that may be able to donate their time and services with cleanup, plumbing labor and/or materials, and electrical labor and/or materials, it would also be much appreciated.
