Assistance & Memoriam for Sherrie Lyn Lorenzini
Donation protected
Hi, my name is John, and I am writing to you in regards to my mother Sherrie Lorenzini, and I am looking to help raise money for expenses towards her end of life care and expenses moving forward.
My mother had always been known to be a kind soul, who would offer the shirt off her own back to anyone, often times to her own detriment. She would be up late baking and preparing food for local functions, hosting her local boy scout troop as a den mother when there was no one available to take on the extra kids as well as an ever encouraging voice booming over the baseball diamond to remind players to keep their elbow up at the plate. There was never a situation I can remember in life, where if given the chance, she wouldn't go out of her way to assist a stranger on the side of the road. One of my fondest memories growing up, was when she pulled over on the side of the highway after my father passed away to assist a family broken down and taught me how to change a tire to help them get on their way.
The reason why I am reaching out and asking for assistance is, that unfortunately this was all very unexpected and many things all coincided at once. After suffering a slip and fall, she went to the hospital where unexpectedly her body started failing, with no reason or prognosis from the medical staff at the facility. From there, things only got worse, as she was almost immediately deemed unable to make her own decisions and sadly we had never broached the topic of a power of attorney prior to these unfortunate times. As of this moment, she is now in Hospice receiving palliative care and we are trying to make everything for her as comfortable as possible, but we have been unable to get things set up to afford this expense as we are lacking the ability to get her insurance changed over and it costs more then it would be able to afford on our own.
I am asking that anyone who can donate anything, please do so to help make it possible to care for her and honor her in death and with the respect she deserves. My sister and I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read this and we are grateful for anything you are able to contribute.
