As most of you already know, my mother, Sherri, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

This comes after a lifetime of hurdles including recovering from PTSD incurred from being a correctional officer. This month she was set to return to work at the penitentiary and just days before her return the doctor called and we received the horrible news. We are hoping to help offset costs so she’s given the chance to stay home during her treatment.

Over the next few days she will be enduring many procedures and beginning her journey of chemotherapy.
