Sherri Diederich's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
We're reaching out to share the story of Sherri Diederich, a cherished part of our BCI Construction community.
Last August, Sherri sought medical advice for a persistent cough. Following scans and x-rays aimed at finding the cause, doctors discovered a tumor in her lung. Further investigations revealed she was facing Stage 4 cancer, with additional lesions found on her liver and bones. Sherri began aggressive chemotherapy treatments immediately. Initially, she responded well, but in January, she experienced a severe reaction to the therapy. This led her medical team to discontinue the current treatment approach and switch her to an oral chemotherapy medication, which significantly improved her side effects. Sherri plans to have further scans in June to assess the effectiveness of her initial chemotherapy round.
Sherri hails from Minnesota, where she grew up as the eldest of four siblings. She is a devoted mother to four children: Kayla, Justin, Tyler, and Dylan, and has been lovingly married to her husband, Marvin, for 25 years. She is also a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Tucker, Hudson, Sydney, Wyatt, Abel, Myles, and Levi.
This journey is a testament to Sherri's strength and resilience, and we stand with her in hope and support.
