On Tuesday night...June 1, 2021 myself, my children, my mother, and our dog had a house fire that I’m pretty sure began in our kitchen. We are still waiting on a final report from the fire department. The fire spread to the rest of the home very rapidly. The good thing is we were all able to evacuate and we are all safe. I was only hospitalized for 1 night because of smoke inhalation and blood pressure issues. On the other end of things, we are now completely displaced. We have been living in a hotel for the last couple of nights and we have no clothes, shoes, furniture, my cell phone, keys, medications, toys/game systems, scooters, board games, etc...ultimately no permanent place to actually live right now. My sister has helped as much as she can with toiletries and food and our dog. We have reached out to other resources but we can use all the help we can get. I have 2 younger children and an older teenager and an older mother. We really need and appreciate any help we can get. I am also having to lose time from work which means I am losing income. If you don’t want to donate money we are grateful for clothing and shoes, food, doggie items, all furniture, linens, gift cards, washer and dryer, etc...we definitely need prayers and uplifting. We are basically starting over from nothing...I’m trying to be strong for my boys but any help would alleviate extra stress. Anyone who knows me knows that I work hard and I take care of my family and I don’t ask anyone for handouts but we need the help and my pride is not too strong to ask for help for my children.
