Sherrell's Brain Surgery and Recovery Support Fund

Donation protected
Sherrell Alicia is a 37 year young, mother of two (Ian 16 and Austin 8), a life coach, a self-care advocate, an author and a beauty business owner. She pours her heart and soul into everything and everyone she meets. She shares her passion for meditation, yoga, and mindfulness. Despite having struggled with difficult family life, pandemic stress professionally and now with brain surgery ahead, she still finds a way to add more joy to her life and those around her.

If you know Sherrell you love her.

During the Thanksgiving holiday, life-changing news was given to Sherrell that would change the mood of the season.

Over the summer months, she noticed several symptoms come forth without explanation. Shortness of breath with or without activity, racing pulse again without activity, strong headaches not able to be managed by over-the-counter medication and loss of balance.

After multiple visits to the cardiologist, he sent her to get an MRA. He was sure that her heart wasn't the cause of her symptoms. Thank GOD he did, it was confirmed that Sherrell had a brain aneurysm and needed further evaluation from a neurosurgeon. Aneurysms are like ticking time bombs waiting to explode. After several attempts to find a specialist, she was accepted and given an appointment at Johns Hopkins University, where he confirmed there were not only one but two brain aneurysms that required surgery.

Although this news is shocking and disheartening, we weren't completely blindsided due to her family history. Sherrell lost her mom at the age of 8 due to the rupture of an aneurysm. Additionally, other family members have also had ruptures but have survived due to medical advances. We are so glad that the doctors caught the aneurysms, this increases her chances of survival! She has been giving her best to save face, fulfill her commitments and be somewhat "normal" in life.

Unfortunately, surgery and recovery will require Sherrell to stop working. This is especially difficult because both companies rely on Sherrell to participate in daily activities to be successful.

Her first procedure is Wednesday, December 21st. This procedure will solidify the entry and the anticipated recovery process.

Sherrell consistently pours into others and we'd like to do the same for her in this difficult time. We are creating this opportunity to be able to show our love for her. With this fundraiser, we are hoping to support Sherrell. Making this as stress-free as possible.

We will provide updates on her behalf so that Sherrell can rest and focus on supporting herself and her children in this time of need.

Thank you all for the love, support, prayers, and shares.
