Sherlock is in need of help. On 7/3/2024, what we thought was a cyst near his rear end burst and began bleeding. It reached a head on 7/4/2024 and we were unable to stop the bleeding so we rushed to the after-hours vet near our house where we were told that he needs it surgically removed and nothing else can be done. We were able to get a very last-minute appointment at his regular vet where the doctor was able to explain in depth that he believed it was cancerous and needs to be removed ASAP. The vet also believes that it is linked to his hormones so he will need to be neutered to prevent it from returning. The prognosis is otherwise great and he just needs this removed to live many more healthy years. I have attached a photo of the quote and set the goal for just above the high estimate. Any amount remaining will be used to help other pets in need of care.



As many of you may know, Sherlock is my retired service dog and has played a huge role in getting me to where I am now, although it has been rough along the way. I know that he has touched many other lives as well in his 10 years. He is my heart dog and I cannot bear the thought of losing him, especially for something the vet believes is very treatable. I will also speak to the vet and see if donations can be made directly to the clinic if people prefer.
