Flood Fund Sherita Sanders Family
Donation protected
Sherita Sanders and her family were victimized by the horrible flood, on 10/04/15. They live in the worst hit area of Lake Katherine/Gills Creek. Her family includes her daughter, Brittney, and her son, Matthew, They were all still sleeping when their home flooded with mostly lake and creek water. Sherita's main concern was getting to her daughter (who has special needs) and making sure she did not fall prey to the murky water that was slowly rising in their home. Luckily, once she got to Brittney's room, she was on her bed, watching television as if nothing had happened while her little toys were floating all around her room! Sherita felt an instant relief after realizing that she had not been affected physically by the catastrophe. In the aftermath of it all, realism set in, for they all started realizing how much they had lost, and that was EVERYTHING! Sherita said, "We lost our two cars, home possessions, clothing, and years of memorabilia, but luckily, not our sanity. I am hoping to be able to salvage some of the important things that I have lost in the flood that could help me and my family get back on our feet, so if it is at all possible, I would love to have the help and support of those whom are willing to provide whatever it is they can afford to give so that I can resume at least a somewhat normal standard to get by until I am able to pick up the pieces on my own. Thank you very much for your love and support!"... Anything you can do to help this family would be met with great appreciation. Thank you to everyone for coming together to help as much as you can! <3
