Dearest friends and friends of friends,
Friends are one of the greatest gifts in this world. I’m lucky to have a few that I have shared happy moments with in the last 15 years in New York City, among them, Norman and Sherill Barnett from Queens, NY.
These two are the nicest couple you would ever meet! They are wonderful parents to two little girls ages 7 and 5 and I don’t know any other couple that works so hard to give their family the best life that they can afford. Sherill works as a medical assistant for a private practice and Norman is a TSA agent at JFK Airport.
Unfortunately, trying times does not spare even the kindest and God fearing people and, just recently, Sherill was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Although it’s devastating news, doctors from Sloan Kettering are optimistic that the Big C is beatable at this stage.
Sherill will undergo treatment this week which will continue for the next five months, after which she will undergo surgery and more radiation treatments after. At best she will partially paid for a finite number of weeks and will eventually be on leave without pay.
I’m imploring everyone in my network and beyond to help Sherill and Norman with what your hearts can give to assist in the next few months with their decreased household income until Sherill is cured and is able to go back to work. It will surely help with rent, and especially their daughters’ school and other additional expenses while she is getting treatment.
I thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity and may your support be multiplied back to you all a million fold!
Thank you for your time in reading this. God bless and to Sherill, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! We love you!
