Sheriff "ALMIGHTY" Lawal

Hi, we are team St. Pancras, (coach Claire and some of the youth team) and we have set up this GoFundMe page in honour of one our boxers who has sadly passed away on Sunday, 12th May 2024 during his professional debut. Sheriff has been in the amateur boxing scene for roughly 12 years, boxing for our club and accomplishing getting into the ring 40 times. He was a huge prospect in the light middleweight division, Having a promising future in the pro game. Sadly events transpired during the fourth round of his pro debut where he took a powerful shot to the temple and collapsed in the ring, his coach CJ Hussein rushed to his aid along with the 'boxing board of controls' paramedics. After 20 minutes of resuscitation Sheriff was taken to a near-by hospital where he unfortunately passed away. "He went out doing what he loved but it shouldn't have been this way" Stated by Claire Williams, one of the few coaches at St Pancras boxing club. Sheriff was loved by us all and was such an inspiration to our gym. He set the standards for everyone and his time management was impeccable, always being the first one in and the last one to leave.

Sheriff was always a hard worker and was studying nursing at North Middlesex university while still training as hard as he could. This is a true example of the standards he set. Always having a smile on his face and seeing the best in every situation. Sheriff was an amazing role model to our younger fighters and his commitment, discipline and dedication was second-to-none. He took his boxing very seriously, always giving 110% and when needed, always gave his help to the younger ones passing on his knowledge and wisdom.

We have set up this GoFundMe in honour of our beloved boxer Sheriff in attempts to raise as much money as possible to support the family that he has left behind. This money will all be going towards the costs of the funeral. We would like to help and give Sheriff one last send off . This tragic news has stunned us all as well as the boxing world. The passing of Sheriff has touched us all and he will forever be remembered as a kind and loving person. Any contributions to our cause will be most appreciated by everyone involved.
