Sheri “GiGi” Hess

It is with broken and heavy hearts that we come to you to ask for your help and prayers. On Saturday August 1st, Sheri suffered a massive stroke. She was rushed to Sentara Princess Ann Hospital, where her family was told that because of the severe damage caused by the stroke, she no longer had any brain activity. Sheri was always a giver, and she made it clear, long before Saturday, that she wanted to give, even at the end of her life. Sheri chose to be an organ donor. She had also made it clear that in the event she would only be alive with artificial means, those interventions should be discontinued. Tomorrow, August 9th, her family will have to carry out her wishes and hug her one last time here on earth. As you can imagine, they are struggling with so much right now. There are so many things they need that as friends and loved ones, we are unable to give. We can't give Autumn and Justin back their Mom, nor Tim the love of his life. We can't bring GiGi back for her grandbabies, but we would like to ask that you join us as we attempt to lighten the financial need for expenses that will come with burying and laying her to rest. She was a wonderful human, and her absence will leave all of us mourning the loss of such an amazing woman whose presence always made us smile, feel loved, and would give (even a stranger) anything she could to lift them up and ease their burden. Sheri was truly a light. You rarely, if ever, saw her struggles, because she chose to radiate positivity and hope every single day in spite of them. Please help us give her the ending that her precious life deserves. We are so thankful for anything you can help with, including monetary donations, prayers for her family as they attempt to navigate life without her, and sharing this fundraiser. Arrangements for a funeral/celebration of life, will be given once they are able to be made. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
