Sheri Jacob-Glock - Neuoedocrine cancer

Sheri is a wife and mother who has had a 15-year career with Children's Hospital as a Medical Assistant. But has been an MA for over 30 years in total. She has been the provider for her family for many years. Sheri and her husband Phillip "Pete" married for 20 years and dated for 5. Together they have two boys: PJ (17) and JJ (13). The boys have had various health of their own in the past years, and Sheri has been by their sides through it all. She always makes sure to put everyone before herself but now needs some help of her own.

 

Just over 7 months ago, Sheri was diagnosed with a rare form of Neuroendocrine cancer Stage 4 which is highly aggressive. She resolved to do anything within her power to fight this diagnosis, starting with IV and oral chemotherapy. When the chemotherapy was not enough, she received radiation implants into her liver with hope of stalling the progression of her cancer. She recently had a bile duct stent placed as she was developing severe jaundice and is now fighting multiple bacterial and blood infections on top of all this. She has endured multiple hospital stays and frequently travels back and forth to Milwaukee for various tests and procedures. Despite all of these interventions, the cancer continues to spread rapidly, stumping many of her doctors.

 

As you can imagine, all else has been put on the back burner while Sheri fights for her life and her family does what the can to adjust to what is their new normal. The bills have been piling up and health expenses keep coming in. Despite all of this, Sheri has put on a brave face for her family and has maintained her family and has maintained a positive attitude, continuing to fight the best as she can.
