Hi, my name is Kate. I am fundraising to help the Hole family while the stalwart and glue of their family, Sheri, is fighting a massive battle with her health. Her husband, David or Holey to many people, is doing his best to keep the bills paid and food on the table whilst also making weekly trips to Melbourne where Sheri has been transferred. He'll likely be angry that I have organised this to ask for help because he's a very proud man, but he is also someone who is tearing himself in two trying to be in two places at once.

On 26 April this year, Sheri contracted COVID which anti-viral medication didn't help to contain and has now affected her lungs. As she is a transplant patient with a very low immune system, this has hit her harder than it would most people and with existing respiratory issues, it's done a real number on her. She is currently in Monash hospital in Melbourne where she has been for the past three weeks and heavily sedated for the past week. With no real understanding of when she may return home, I thought the community around us may dig as deep as they can to help support the family while she continues to fight to get better.

Sheri has two kids who desperately need their mum to come home because she is everything to them.

Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way to helping ease some of the burden on David's shoulders and allow him to be in as many places as he can be without having to worry so much about having to work to try and cover bills and rent.
