Hi, I'm Jay and I'm setting up this fundraiser to help my friend Sherry (Sherbear) fight cancer. Recently, she lost her wife to an illness and now she herself has been hit with cancer. Sherbear is her family's rock and they have been devastated by this news, especially since it was revealed that her insurance would not cover any of the treatment due to a clerical error that they refuse to fix. Her granddaughter, Briddy, has moved in to help with day-to-day tasks, but there is only so much that family can do.

If you can, please help to save this woman and her family from financial ruin because a few cells decided to go rogue. No one deserves to have to choose between food/housing and medicine.

Hi, my name is Briddy.

I'm reaching out for help taking care of my grandmother's cancer.

We lost my nana; her wife, in November 2025 due to complications from post polio.

Only ten days later, Sherry- my Sherbear, found a lump in her breast and is now going through the trials of handling the cancer.

She hasn't even had time to properly grieve her partner of nearly 50 years.

She might lose her house. Our healthcare system in the USA would rather see her die or go bankrupt than help her. They will not cover her chemo treatments.

My grandmothers were there for me when my parents failed me. They took care of me, and I've been doing all I can to take care of them.

I plead to my community to help her in this time of need. Please help me make this time in her life easier. My body and mind can no longer take seeing her continue to cry over bills she cannot pay when she should be crying and grieving over the love she lost- not her body killing her.
