SHER: Books for Underprivileged Children
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dyaus Dhar, and I'm collaborating with SHER for their project BAGH-BON (meaning Tiger forest). SHER, through various other initiatives, has been extending support to the underprivileged for years. One of the many aspects of this project is to provide a library to the underprivileged kids living in Sundarbans – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the only mangrove landscape on the globe where the Bengal Tigers are found. The library will be a space to encourage these kids to pursue knowledge and grow an interest in their lifelong learning. This is one of the many ways to make these people from these backward villages empowered from within. This is mostly a passion project for me as I've been to India and I have grown to feel for them and now I want to do whatever I can to help them. We are hoping to raise 75,000 Indian Rupees (approximately 1,000 Dollars) for this cause. We would be appreciative if even a small generous donation could be made from your end to support the people who share space and coexist with the famous & endangered Tigers.
