Several years ago, I decided that I wanted to put the wheels in motion, to make my dreams of being a restaurant owner, a reality. Along the way, with the suggestion of a friend, and the support of many, the idea of the food truck came to life. The hard work and determination that it took to do so, was never an issue for me. It was the adequate funding, that became the biggest hurdle. Eventually some funding became available and we were ready to get the ball rolling. As a first time business owner, I began to see how long the process can take, how expenses can arise from nowhere, and just how fast what little start up capital you have, can disappear. Going into July with some hurdles behind us, and the calendar filling up; it appeared as if we were gonna catch up, and start getting ahead. As many may know, this past Saturday July 22nd, a crippling mechanical problem arose. We're now faced with some major engine repairs, no time frame or cost of the repair, and bills both business and personal pouring in. I must admit, it's hard when you try to do something on your own, to ask for help. Through the kind words, and suggestions of many, I'm learning that it's ok to do so. I can't put into words, just how grateful and blessed I am to know, that there are so many, some that I've never met, that are willing to lend a helping hand. To all those that do... know that when we are able, we'll take your gratitude, and pay it forward. From the bottom of my heart... Thank You!!!
