Shepherd's Care Medical Clinic Giving Campaign
Shepherd’s Care Medical Clinic (SCMC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides primary care services to uninsured and underinsured individuals between ages 18 to 64 with chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, and high blood pressure. SCMC continues to serve as a free rural health clinic for over 400 uninsured individuals living in Wake, Johnston, Nash, and Franklin counties. The population served is a diverse mix of races with low to no income and who live in the rural south. To qualify for services, clients must be 200% or below the federal poverty line with no insurance.
Shepherd’s Care Medical Clinic relies heavily on grants and pubic donations from our community. Due to the current pandemic, grant funding and public donations have declined which has directly impacted our ability to continue to provide these much needed services. As a result of depleting financial resources, the clinic has been forced to reduce opening hours from 4 days a week to 1 day a week.
We need your help! No donation is too big or too small. Funding raised through this campaign will be used to support overhead costs such as rent, payroll, lab fees, supplies, etc. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause.
