I have been in ministry since 1992, serving as both a chaplain and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Over the years, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and triumphs that couples face, and I have learned valuable lessons about what it takes to build strong, lasting marriages. My journey has shown me the deep need for Christian couples to truly understand the richness and depth of marriage—not just as a relationship, but as a sacred covenant with profound theological meaning.
After more than a decade as an LMFT and many years as a chaplain, I felt led by God to write 'Shepherding Your Marriage.' The central thesis of this book is that a marriage is like a little church, with its own shepherd and flock. This perspective has shaped my work with couples, helping them see their relationship as a sacred trust and a place for spiritual growth. The book is designed to be a practical resource for couples, with discussion questions for both individual and group study. It is also adaptable for pastors and church leaders who want to support the marriages in their congregations. I have had the privilege of counseling couples and even performing wedding ceremonies for those I have helped, and I know how transformative these tools can be.
Publishing 'Shepherding Your Marriage' will allow me to reach more couples and churches, offering guidance and hope where it is needed most. I am not wealthy, but I am passionate about making a difference. With your support, I can cover the publishing costs and begin using this book in retreats, counseling sessions, and volunteer church work. Together, we can strengthen marriages and families for generations to come. If you believe in this mission, I would be deeply grateful for your help.
